The Muslims of Assam who are the citizens of India by birth are economically, educationally, socially, politically and also in all spheres under develop in comparison of other communities of the state. So, for their upliftment, a few progressive minded and conscious citizens of the said community were gathered on 31st January / 2012 at Nagaon Govt.

Core Activities
On 18th February / 2012 the AMJAM observed ‘Neli Divas’ at Alitangoni in the memory of the victims of Neli Massacre in 1983. On this occasion a souvenir namely “Nelier Usapani” was published. In the open session, some intellectual persons from various parts of Assam delivered their valuable speech and demand justice for the victims of Neli Massacre.
